Mindset Shifting

GoCoachYourself

A fresh year is here, time to audit your life and make some decisions.

The first decision is do you want to do 2025 in your same mindset as last year?

Do not underestimate this decision, to change your mindset takes work; the novelty of your “New Year Resolutions” wear off quickly as you know from experience. Losing weight, exercising more, drinking less, working on your relationship, spending more time with your kids or parents, working less hours, spending less on coffees…

Changing your mindset is a firm decision - Yes I will.

Then what next? Here is a quick win for you as you begin your new year with dreams, aspirations and determination:

Take your ideal outcomes for 2025 and work backwards.

For each one ask why is this is necessary this year?

What rating do you give it out of ten - one being it is currently shit; five being it’s okay but I want to work on it more, ten being totally satisfied.

Which of your beliefs around this outcome need to be challenged? Find them and and then find evidence against them to create a new belief to replace the old one.

Take your rating, how will you increase it by 0.5 or a one? What resources do you need to do this - support, money, physical environment, knowledge, emotions…

This is your action, break it into smaller steps, making a calendar to complete one step each day, week or month.

When your outcomes are broken down into smaller steps, your brain does not freak out so much.

Remember you need to push out of your comfort zone a wee bit each step. If there is too much anxiety then you may have pushed yourself too far.

Send me your outcome if you want some accountability!!!
